I just wanted to post the kids school pictures. Sometimes I find it hard to believe that Becca is going to high school next year. Spencer is in Grade 1 and Becca is in Grade 9. We thought we were smart in the beginning to space the kids so far apart, but in hind sight, Becca will be graduating and Spencer will be in Grade 4 hmmmmmm how smart was that?? Anyway this is their school pics for this year. In some ways I think the spacing was for my benefit, the empty nest syndrome won't seem so bad this way. Eight years between kids leaving. I will be 44 when Spencer is 16. Oh my god I am feeling old. Obviously time for bed.

So I lied....
Well, I guess I lied. It has been over 3 months since I last posted. I am going to try and journal my newest obsession. I have started the Dr. Bernstein Diet. I started on November 14, 2006. To date I have lost 22 lbs. I am hoping that documenting this journey will be helpful for me and maybe someone who is in need of some help. The first few days of the diet suck hard core, but after the initial headache and general feeling of I want to die, it is not so bad. Actually, I never believed everyone when they said there are no cravings and you will not be hungry. I feel really good and am hoping that I can keep the motivation and continue to the end. I weigh in on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, so I will keep you posted.

Well, obviously I am not going to be one of these bloggers that have earth shattering things to say, or to contribute to anyone else's knowledge. I also am not very diligent about posting on a regular basis. I did however just get high speed internet, so I am thinking that I will be here quite a bit more often as I will not be turning grey waiting for something to download, only to find out at the end it crashes. (GRRRR) Glad to be back in the land of the living. Hopefully, next time won't be so long away.

Here goes nothing...
My sister is the one to blame for me starting one of these blogs. I am not sure just how much I want to share or if it is even really worth the time to set it up. But it looks fun and what the heck. Here goes the stats: I am a Legal Secretary but have taken a leave of absence to be at home with our 5 year old son who has been diagnosed with Nonverbal Learning Disorder. We also have a 13 year old drama queen, who is entering the boyfriend stage who means the world to me. My husband works out of town, so the three of us are on our own a lot in the winter. We are the typical family, keeping ourselves busy running with after school sports and helping at the school a couple times a week.
